Our Awesome Story
R3Scan has 20 years of experience in 3D surveying using mixed LiDAR and photogrammetric techniques, with more than 200 completed projects mainly in Heritage restoration and Architecture applications. During the last 8 years, R3Scan also involved in many industrial Scan2BIM projects, taking the opportunity to port our solid know how and precise methodologies, to structural and mechanical 3D surveys, on dry land but also offshore and underwater. R3Scan continually evolves and invests in state-of-the-art equipment, software, and Big-Data processing infrastructure to keep our services at the highest level possible. R3Scan also actively participates in a variety of European Research programs and collaborates with researchers through internships, we consider this continuous contact with new cutting-edge ideas, a fundamental factor for growth and an excellent way of giving back to the society.
Our Skills
Our team takes over everything, from an idea and concept development to realization. We believe in traditions and incorporate them within our innovations. All our projects incorporate a unique artistic image and functional solutions. Client is the soul of the project. Our main goal is to illustrate his/hers values and individuality through design.

Our Timeline
2001
First R3Scan application of 3D Photogrammetry
Using a Hasselblad 6x6 medium format film camera and a drum scanner we produced high detail models of historical building facades in Goumenisa, Kilkis, Greece
2001
First R3Scan application of 3D Laser Scanning
In the context of a research program, coordinate by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, we used a Cyrax 2000 laser scanner for monument survey in Thessaloniki, Greece.
2009
First UNESCO world heritage site 3D survey
Funded by "Egnatia Odos SA" we conducted a 3D survey, using a combination of terrestrial laser scanner and conventional surveying methods, of the Efpalinus aquaduct in Samos island, Greece, the worlds first tunnel excavated simulteniously from both sides, an UNESCO world heritage site.
2012
Founding member of the Underwater Surveying Team, of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
Certified as divers, we immediately started applying underwater photogrammetry, mainly for heritage sites.
2015
First R3Scan application of combined 3D scanning and 3D photogrammetry
3D survey of the temple of Zeus in Athens Greece, using a combination of photogrammetry, 3D scanner and conventional surveying techniques, up to an accuracy of mm level and ground resolution of 0.2mm.
2019
First R3Scan very large scale Scan2BIM project
Starting few years earlier to port our 3D surveying know-how to industrial applications, we completed a full scale BIM model in dual formats (Revit and ArchiCAD) of the "NEXANS" plants, in Lamia, Greece, using 3D scanning and BIM modelling techniques.
